Skip Boyd is a visual artist and one of the original 8 YA/YA guild members. Boyd currently designs and sells custom furniture pieces. His mini-grant will support his exploration of sacred geometry to create a Healing Throne adorned with precious metals and crystals. His latest functional piece commemorated the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival's 50th anniversary and was auctioned off by the New Orleans Jazz and & Foundation to support music for New Orleans youth.

Skip Boyd was active the YAYA guild 1988-1990.
