Paul Wright received a Scholarship from Ana & Adeline Foundation to attend Parsons School of Design, where he is a senior majoring in in Illustration. This is his third award from the foundation. Paul was awarded a scholarship for Parsons School of Design in 2016. He also received a Creative Venture Grant in the 2015 grant cycle, used to design and execute Birdseye, a new body of work and received support from the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans, LA.

Paul is a mixed media artist, specializing in interpretive portraiture that boast bold and expressive palettes reflecting his experiences growing up in Central City, New Orleans. Paul was born and raised in New Orleans, where spent seven years with YA/YA and New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. An accomplished artist and youth advocate, Paul has had residencies and exhibitions at the Cow House Studios, Joan Mitchell Center, the Guggenheim Museum, George Rodrigues Gallery, Contemporary Art Center New Orleans, African American Museum and 5 Press Gallery.

Paul was a YAYA Artist from 2007-2014.
