Nia Henry graduated form McDonogh 35 High School in 2018 and now attends Delgado Community College in New Orleans. She would like to earn a degree in illustration and animation and says, “I want to be an animator to create studio quality animation that is entertaining to viewers at any age level. I would like my animation to be used as teaching opportunities for real life situations such as racial and cultural differences.”  In high school, Henry participated in many programs including Upward Bound, ReThink, Youth Run Nola, and MAP Young Urban Farmers Apprenticeship Program.

Nia Henry is a current member of the YAYA young artists’ guild.
