Blair Augillard is beginning his journey in higher education at Grambling State University in Fall 2024. He is pursuing a BA in Illustration, the art practice he fell in love with as a child. “As the oldest child of a working single mother, I spent a lot of time in front of the television,” says Augillard. “I just wanted to be entertained, but I wasn’t; this is what led me to first pick up a pencil.” He entertained himself by creating stories on paper and has since fallen in love with the process of creating polished images. He finds inspiration for his work from his love of cartoons and surrealism.

Augillard has exhibited in galleries where he feels privileged to have sold work. He also works on commission and has a piece hanging in Louisiana Congressman Troy Carter’s office.

Blair Augillard graduated from Willow High School in 2024. He first joined the YAYA Guild in 2017.
