Morgan Prevost is pursuing a BBA in Finance with a minor in Graphic Design from Loyola University New Orleans. She is interested in exploring the administrative side of the arts and hopes that the skills she is learning in school will support her in managing marketing and public relations for her own art business.

Prevost is an artist of many mediums, with pen and ink being her go-to creative tool. She also works in 3-dimensions, using ceramics and blown glass to create sculptures and functional pieces like glasses, mugs and vases. When she has the freedom to choose her subjects, she aims to represent Black people, particularly Black women. “Even if there's not a strong political or social meaning I'm trying to depict, my thing is mainly representation, just making sure people know we're here,” she states. Prevost draws inspiration from books written by Black female authors, citing Octavia Butler, N.K. Jemisin, and Toni Morrison as three of her muses. She explains, “I just love all the different ways their books portray black women and also their connections to fantasy, science fiction, and mysticism which is often an avenue left unexplored.” She appreciates the problem solving aspect of making art, however tedious it may be. “ I make artwork because it is a skill I've worked hard at for many years now and I am proud of it,” she declares.

Prevost has been accepted into the New Orleans Youth Alliance (NOYA) Leadership Fellowship, which prepares young people to assume leadership roles in programs and initiatives impacting youth and their families in New Orleans. She graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in 2023 and first joined the YAYA Guild in 2019.
